Tourist arrival figures in Aug. reach close to 100,000

During the initial 20 days of August, nearly 100,000 tourists arrived in Sri Lanka, as indicated by the latest data from the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA).

Indian nationals remain the dominant group, with 19,804 visitors arriving from India.

July saw a total of 143,039 tourists arriving.

Consequently, the overall count of tourists for the year up to now stands at 866,744.
