Nothern railway line up to KKS opens

The renovated nothern railway line from Colombo Fort to Kankesanturai (KKS) will be open to the public from Saturday (15), Transport Minister Bandula Gunawardana said.

He said this while participating in an inspection tour today from Colombo Fort to KKS.

Air-conditioned luxury carriages were added for the test run at a speed of 100 kilometers per hour.

The Yal Devi, Udaya Devi Express train, and the night mail trains will operate starting Saturday (15).
