A group of tourists exploring the Independence Memorial Hall in Colombo. Tourist arrivals to Sri Lanka have been on an uptrend since the start of this year, with the cumulative arrivals for the January 1 to April 7 period amounting to 362,519. Tourism earnings also surpassed the US $ 500 million mark for the first quarter of 2023. Tourism authorities expect to attract two million tourists to the country this year.
