Virgin Voyages’ cruise liner, Resilient Lady made its maiden call at Sri Lanka’s Port of Colombo on Monday (Nov 13).
The luxury passenger vessel, flying the Bahamian flag, measures 909ft in length and can accommodate 2,318 passengers and 1,194 crew members.
The ship, built in 2022, called at the East Terminal of the Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) at the Port of Colombo.
The Resilient Lady’s maiden call was commemorated with a plaque exchange ceremony between the Chairman of SLPA, Keith D. Bernard and the Master of the vessel, Captain Matthew Hudson.
Inchcape Mackinnon Mackenzie Shipping (Pvt) Ltd serves as the local port agent for the vessel, while Aitken Spence Travels (Pvt.) Ltd serves as the local agent for excursions during her stay in Colombo.
Departing from Goa, India, the Resilient Lady’s next port of call is Phuket, Thailand.
