Nearly 500,000 tourists have arrived in Sri Lanka so far in 2023.
According to data issued by the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority, 498,319 tourists have visited Sri Lanka this year.
More than 100,000 visitors each arrived in the country in the first four months of 2023.
The SLTDA said so far in May, 57,142 persons have visited the country.
The highest number of tourists arrived in May is from India.
A total of 15,052 Indian nationals have arrived in the country thus far in May.
