Sri Lanka welcomes 100,000 tourists for the third consecutive month

Revival of the tourism industry in the country has been marked by another milestone today as it was confirmed that Sri Lanka has welcomed 100,000 tourists for the third consecutive month.

According to data issued by the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority, until the 26th of March, 105,714 tourists have arrived in Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka welcomed 107,639 tourists last month and in January 102,545 foreign nations visited the country.

The new figure also surpassed the March 2022 tourist arrivals tally where 106,500 foreign nationals arrived in the country.

The SLTDA said this month, the highest number of tourists arrived from Russia.

A total of 22,038 Russian nationals have arrived in the country thus far in March.
