Emirates Launches Newly Retrofitted A380s with Premium Economy to Manchester and Milan

Emirates is set to enhance its services to Europe with the introduction of its newly retrofitted Airbus A380s, featuring the airline’s latest cabin interiors and the increasingly popular Premium Economy class. Starting 6 June, the upgraded A380 will operate on EK017/018 to Manchester, followed by EK091/092 to Milan from 1 July.

The move marks a significant expansion of Emirates’ premium economy footprint in Europe. With the Manchester upgrade, Emirates will offer nearly 5,000 Premium Economy seats weekly between the UK and Dubai. This development adds to the four daily retrofitted A380s already serving London Heathrow, the Emirates A350 operating to Edinburgh, and the refurbished Boeing 777 scheduled for London Stansted service from May.

Milan will become Emirates’ second Italian destination to feature the new premium economy cabins, following the upcoming deployment of the A350 to Bologna later in June.

With these additions, Emirates’ network of retrofitted A380 destinations will grow to 19 global cities, underscoring the airline’s ongoing investment in delivering an elevated travel experience. Passengers departing from Manchester and Milan will enjoy seamless connections aboard the four-class A380 to destinations across Asia and Australasia, including Sydney, Singapore, Osaka, Mumbai, and Bangalore.

The Premium Economy cabin, located at the front of the main deck, features 56 spacious seats in a 2-4-2 layout. Travellers can enjoy generous seat pitch and width, in-seat charging points, a side cocktail table, and thoughtfully curated amenities. The service includes a dedicated menu, an extensive beverage selection, and exclusive offerings like the Chandon Vintage Brut 2016, available only to Emirates Premium Economy passengers.

Tickets are available for booking via emirates.com, the Emirates App, retail stores, and travel agents worldwide. Emirates notes that aircraft deployment may be advanced if aircraft are released earlier from refurbishment.
