The Doctor’s House Issues Statement and Apologizes Over Viral Video..

Following the recent incident and the circulation of a viral video, The Doctor’s House has released an official statement via social media, taking responsibility and extending an apology to the relevant parties.

The statement reads as follows:
With regards to the music stopping at 10pm at the party last Wednesday, the 22nd January 2025, and with regard to some of the remarks made by some customers from our premises, we’d like to clear a few thing up.

Firstly, it was not the fault of the Police, the government or even the president for why the music was switched off at 10pm. It was our fault and we were in direct breach of the conditions outlined in our sound permit. We apologies for the oversight on our part and for not making our guests aware of the government rules and regulations regarding sound permits and the associated conditions.

Secondly, the person making the remarks in the video that went viral was misinformed and we definitely do not condone that behavior or the comments directed at the Police, the Government or the President.

Lastly we have long standing relationship with the police and other regulatory authorities and we wish to keep these intact, As such and moving forward, we will be more transparent with our customers in an attempt to educate them of the Sri Lankan rules and regulations.

Additionally we’d like to sincerely apologies to the police, the government and the President for any inconvenience this viral video has caused to Sri Lanka and its people and we will continue to do our best to contribute towards positive growth of the tourism industry in our country.

We would also like to thank police, the regulatory authority and the SLTDA for their continued support.
