Sri Lanka’s Santani Brand Goes Global: Exploring the Expansion into Oman

Sri Lanka’s widely-acclaimed Santani resorts have ventured abroad – to Oman – and is setting up the first Sri Lankan brand overseas, in collaboration with the Oman Tourism Development Company. This strategic alliance marks a significant milestone in enhancing Oman’s wellness and the two exclusive wellness resorts (picture shows a conceptual drawing of the property) will have 182 rooms and carry the Santani name. Vickum Nawagamuwage, Founder and CEO of Santani Wellness Resorts, said they have an additional global pipeline of eight projects and it is growing. “What is most significant is that foreign governments and investors have shown interest to commit over $400 million and develop resorts under the Santani brand,” he said
