Turkish Airlines has earned the Guinness World Records title for the “Most Countries Flown to by an Airline,” further solidifying its reputation as a leader in global connectivity. This recognition highlights the airline’s extensive network, connecting people and destinations worldwide.

The record was officially awarded during a ceremony at Santiago Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport, coinciding with Turkish Airlines’ inaugural flight to Chile. Attendees included Turkish Airlines executives and representatives from Guinness World Records.

According to Guinness World Records criteria, the airline achieved the title by flying to 120 countries over the past year. Including temporarily suspended routes and the new Santiago service, Turkish Airlines now operates flights to 131 countries.

“We are thrilled to launch our newest route to Santiago, Chile, and to receive this prestigious Guinness World Records title,” said Bilal Ekşi, CEO of Turkish Airlines. “This achievement underscores the strength of our network and our commitment to connecting people, cultures, and destinations around the world.”

Turkish Airlines has held the distinction of flying to the most countries since 2012. This new recognition reinforces its dedication to expanding its global network and providing world-class service. The Santiago ceremony celebrated not just a new flight path but also the airline’s ongoing mission to unite diverse communities through aviation.
