This brings the total tourist arrivals for the year to 1,828,831.

The daily average for December currently stands at approximately 5,980 arrivals.

So far this month, the Russian Federation leads as the largest source of tourists to Sri Lanka, contributing 18.4 percent of total arrivals. India follows closely, with 18 percent, while the United Kingdom ranks third, with 6.6 percent.

The other key markets include Poland, China, Australia, Germany, France, Bangladesh and the United States.
