Allianz Insurance, SriLankan Airlines renew global partnership

Allianz Insurance Lanka Ltd and SriLankan Airlines have recently renewed their global partnership. Accordingly, Allianz will continue serving as the airline’s exclusive provider of travel insurance products and services.

Entering its 3rd consecutive year, this partnership reflects Allianz’s commitment to delivering peace of mind to travellers. Through comprehensive insurance solutions seamlessly integrated across SriLankan Airlines’ booking channels – including its website, mobile app, and ticket offices – Allianz ensures convenient and customisable protection.

A special ceremony was held on September 11 2024, where the two organisations officially renewed their partnership, with the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU).

The event was graced by high-ranking officials representing both Allianz Insurance Lanka Ltd and SriLankan Airlines. Signing on behalf of Allianz Insurance Lanka Ltd. were, Prashant Grover Chief Executive Officer and Ranga Dias Chief Distribution Officer, while Richard Nuttall Chief Executive Officer, and Dimuthu Tennakoon Head of Worldwide Sales & Distribution, signed on behalf of SriLankan Airlines.

Also present were, from Allianz, Thimira Manamendra Deputy General Manager and Kasun Yatawara Head of Market Management and from SriLankan Airlines, Gayan Wickrama Senior Manager Commercial Services & Support, Samantha Perera Ancillary Revenue Manager and Sandun Anthonisz Senior Ancillary Revenue Executive.
